Ear ache -- what works?

My old solution of hot toddies and/or Nyquil won't work and this is awful.

I haven't had one since I was 6...but I remember my mom used to blow slowly into my ear and that made it feel better....

My grandma used to put black pepper in a kleenex and stick it in my ear. It worked! GL
