I used Lansinoh with my first DD but a website I am ordering bras and pumping supplies off of only has the Medela cream for chapped nipples. Anyone try this kind?Any feedback? Thanks!
The Lansinoh is much thicker. I have to rub it together in my fingers a bit before I can put it on my nipples. The medela is softer and more yellow in color. I prefer the medela as it goes on much smoother, which is a plus if your nipples are sore!
LCs told me at the hospital that pure lanolin(which the Lansinoh is) is fine for LO to nurse with but there are extra ingredients in the Medela cream which you would have to wipe/wash off before nursing. What a pain- stick with Lansinoh!

This! And as for having to wash it off, it states on the tube that it is safe for baby
I've used the Lansinoh cream and like it just fine. I have a sample tube of the Medela cream that came with my pump, but I've never used it. Honestly at this point, I don't even use the cream anymore because I've been buying The First Years nursing pads that already have the Lanolin on them (love this idea)!
If you want to use the Lansinoh cream but find the consistency too thick just put it directly on your nursing pad and you're good to go!

I prefer the Medela. Much better consistency and easier to apply. I don't ever wipe mine off either before feeding.
