I'm sure we all have learned some great ways to do more with our time (now that it's so limited these days). Can you share any suggestions for getting more done with less time now that we all have LO's?
Here is my new suggestion: Get a hands-free pumping bra. I LOVE it!!!! I can now Bump or do anything else on my laptop while I'm pumping. My mom got it for me as part of my Christmas gift (yes, a bit weird, but that's because I asked for it). It was seriously the closest thing to the gift of time!
Re: Share your time-saving suggestions...
Not exactly sure what suggestions you are looking for, but having (2) LO's I find it easier to keep on top of things by picking up as I go throughout the house. That way I don't have a huge mess to pick up all at once.
I also get things ready to go while my LO's are napping if I'm planning an outing. Our garage is attached to our house so I make sure all the important stuff is in the car and ready to go while they are preoccupied or napping.
Keeping extras of things on both floors in my house. Wipes, change of clothes, diapers etc.
Sorting mail as I receive it. Including junk mail into the recycling.
Putting things that need to be upstairs at the bottom of the stairs and bringing them up only the next time I go up.
Having a mini diaper bag always packed and ready to go with ONLY the essentials. So it has diapers, wipes, a straw (for DS), a snack in a small container and a small toy, a couple face cloths and a sleeper for DD.
Only answering the phone when I feel I have time to talk. Otherwise, let it go to voice mail.
Only going on the computer once a day.
Using a calendar and scheduling time for family and friends.
I do the non-bold ones above - love caller ID, it lets me know if I even want to think about picking up the phone. Most of my cell calls go directly to VM, I don't even bother anymore.
love the mini diaper bag idea - must do this!
