Beginning in March this year, we put up an addition on our house (a full second level, turning our ranch into a colonial).  We finished it three days before DS was born.  We didn't have the $$ at the time to buy bedroom furniture so we figured we'd wait, and we've been living out of boxes since.  Last night we found a beautiful bedroom set for a reasonable price and placed the order.  Tonight I was thinking about it and decided to measure the stairs to make sure the items will make it up them.  They won't.  The bedroom is perfectly big enough for all of the items, but because of the angle that they need to come into the house and up the stairs, they will not make it, there's simply no way.  So we will have to cancel the order, and to be honest with you, I can't see how we will ever be able to fit any nice bedroom set up the stairs.

So, while I have a beautiful house with a large master bedroom, I can't fit any furniture up the stupid f'n stairs, of all things to stop us.  I know I should be grateful for the house, but living out of boxes for the last year has been so difficult and I was so looking forward to finally having nice furniture to complete the room.  I'm just so disappointed.

but if you order some from a furniture store they will deliver and put them together in pieces. cant the pieces fit up the stairs?

i remeasured, the only piece that will not fit is the headboard, which is the selling point of the set...still sucks but it's not as bad as i'd thought, at least we will eventually find one that will
