Do you think mushrooms go with seafood? DH and I are planning our New Years Eve date night menu and he is having tenderloin. I don't eat beef so I was thinking of having lobster or scallops. DH wants to make mushroom risotto but I am not sure it's going to be okay with my seafood. WDYT?

I definitely think mushrooms go with seafood, for the most part. I love crab-stuffed mushrooms and I swear I've seen a recipe for lobster-porcini risotto.
I think it sounds delicious and now I WANT.
I'm a huge foodie. Me and hubby want to go on a foodie cruise in the Medditeranean.
As for your question I don't think mushroom risotto is ideal for a seafood dish but if maybe you cooked your rice in seafood stock and added some kind of aged cheese that will go with both a land and sea dish. Either way I think that the meal will be great! Have fun cooking away!
