The 1st time you gave LO rice cereal...

What did they do?

Were they all into it and eating it right away? 

On the pedi's recommendation I started DD on cereal yesterday - she just made this disgusted face and swooshed it around her mouth and then pushed it out.  Does this mean she's not ready? or should I keep trying?

I'm thinking of holding off for a few more weeks but not sure if it's the 'right' thing to do.

DD hated all forms of cereal. she will eat it if i mix it with a veggie, but if not, it's a no go. i just gave up and i give her veggies instead.

I didn't bother with cereal and went to veggies w/cereal mixed in.  Both of my girls loved it.

I've tasted plain cereal.  No way in hell would I expect my kids to like the taste of that.  LOL

DS started really early with rice cereal in his bottle for reflux. He took to it right away. Infact, he loved it.

But if she's not all that interested, waiting wouldn't be a horrible idea. Just do what feels right.

See this was my original plan, just skip the whole cereal thing and just do veggies but pedi said to wait til 6mths to start veggies and fruits...not sure what the difference is really...
