2nd Trimester

Now I know why DH always does the food shopping!

As I'm in the check out line I realize - crap!  I will not be able to carry all the groceries up the stairs to our apartment!  DH offered to go tomorrow morning when he got home, but I felt bad since he's gone the last dozen times, so I said I'd go.  Well, I ended up having to wake him up when I got home (he's been on the night shift) to carry up the groceries.  Sorry DH!  And to top it all off I'm having all sorts of uncomfortable twinges now, and I'm hoping I didn't overdo it!

  • Yeah. Now were hopeless. lol...I usually do the major food shopping and just leave the heavy bags in the car for him to take. Especially now that its freezing outside, nothing spoils. hahaha
  • i know how you feel...i used to do all the shopping, but now he only lets me carry the bread lol...i try to be helpful, but i think i just make it worse:)

  • Hey - just a tip for later...

We just moved to an upstairs apartment and one time when I was doing the grocery shopping, I still had an empty laundry basket in my back seat.  I just put all the sacks in there and carried them up easily.  Much better than multiple trips up and down the stairs!  Not sure if you could fit ALL your groceries in there, but probably cut down on trips at least.
