BF'ng and Morning After Pill? Possible TMI(posted on BF board)

DH and I had sex when DD was 6 weeks and it hurt like heck...just finally tried again and the condom came off inside when I got off of him...UGH!!!

Anyways, DH did some research and found that the M.A. pill is okay to take while BFing, but may cause a drop in production for 24hrs.  I also heard that it can cause vomiting...anyone else have an experience with it and can tell me anything...TIA.

...may never have sex again...ugh!

We are FFing so I can only tell you about physical symptoms in regards to the vomiting, etc. 

We had a condom break right after my six week appointment but before I started b.c. again.  I got the morning after pill and let me tell you...it sucked.  I puked twice two hours after I took the first dose then almost sh!t my pants from diarrhea for 24 hours after the second dose.  I also had cramps that sucked and some spotting.  

If it hadn't been so close to the birth of my DS, I probably would have just chalked it up to "whatever happens, happens" and doubt I will take it again in the future unless a similar circumstance occurs.

It's just a high dose of BCP that you take in a short time period.  It makes your ute have the wrong hormone balance so the egg can't attach.  If you are sensitive to BCP (makes you nauseated)  this will too.  The drop in production should be temp until the excess hormones are out of your system.  The sooner you do it, the more effective it is, so if you are planning on doing it, do it right away!!

This may be assuming too much, but if you got off of him...wouldn't it be pointed downward...ahh nevermind. There are way too many details I could ask you about it that probably don't need to be asked.

Anyway, are you tracking your cycles since you're not on hormonal BC? Are you anywhere near ovulation? If so, you probably really don't need to worry about it. JMO though.

We use condoms too, but I track my cycles.

LOL! Ummmm...I got off of him but it was stuck inside of me, disgusting, I know...so was the treasure hunt to find it...ewww...anyways, I was thinking that I might be okay b/c I thought it may have blocked it but I am not for sure...

I have always been very irregular so I cannot track anything unfortunately...DH is getting the "time to get snipped" talk from me.  He said he would, but now he is changing his mind...not too happy right now, we may never have another "afternoon delight" session again.

don't flame me, but if I understand correctly from a previous poster... the MAP creates an unwelcoming environment for a potentially already fertilized egg.  Umm..  I would not do it.
