Lightning crotch in late 3rd tri

Is anyone else having this more frequently now? The stabbing pains in my vag are getting pretty uncomfortable.  Especially when I'm out and I have to pretty much stop walking because it hurts so bad.  But then it goes away and I'm fine.  Does lightning crotch mean anything, like the baby is starting to drop or something? It would be nice if all this pain was for something productive .

I dont know if it means anything... for you I hope it does, but for me I hope it does not

Oddly enough I didnt have it at all in my first tri like I did with my last pg, but I am getting it more and more now.

Holy Hell Yes!!! It's awful... and embarrassing! It's pretty much constant if I'm not sitting... and I really hope it's doing something productive! I know it's still too early, but considering we can be dilated for weeks, a little extra help now to get things going later wouldn't be bad!

Yes dear, it means your LO is head down and getting ready to go! It's all of the pressure on your cervix from LO's head! It's a good sign, and as soon as you start feeling cramps it means your cervix is going from posterior to anterior.  Then from there you will begin to have regular cramping to dilate! Yay for progress!

I've been getting them for the past few days.  Actually had to stop talking mid sentence today with a client, just to wait for it to pass!  OUCH!!!!!!!
