Babies: 3 - 6 Months

So, maybe we will start solids early...

I had planned on being EBF (or supplemented if needed based on my up and down supply) until 6 months as recommended by the AAP, but as we were giving Jacob his medicine over the past week we noticed that at first he would suck on the syringe like a bottle and gradually started letting us put a little on his tongue and then smacking and getting it to his throat.

He is also going through his 4 1/2 oz at daycare closer to 2 hours than 3 all of a sudden, and wanting to nurse more frequently and sometimes during the night again, so I am wondering if he is ready.

Wow. I can't believe we will be broaching this topic at his 4 mo appt next week.

Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.

  • I recently started giving P rice cereal w/ banana each night and he loves it!  It is also helping him sleep a little longer so mama loves it too!  Sounds like he might be ready for it since he is eating more....GL!

  • I started giving Macen Cereal at 3 mos, and food at 3.5 mos, he Did really well, and he now eats far more Veggies and fruits then he takes in formula. I did it as soon as he started wanting more food more often.
