Babies: 3 - 6 Months

A blessing and a curse.

My video monitor, that is.

I love it because I can check on him at all times without risking waking him up, but right now, for example, I can see that he is laying in his crib with his eyes WIDE OPEN after being put down sound asleep for his nap around 11.

I just keep staring and chanting "self soothe. self soothe. self soothe."

  • And I just realized that if I only had an audio monitor, he'd fool me into thinking he was napping this whole time, because he's being completely silent.

    I wonder if that's his game? :)

  • I say if he's quiet let him be.  Quiet time for them can be almost as restorative as nap time.

That's my plan! His eyelids have begun to flutter a little bit. I think I would dance a jig if he managed to put himself back to sleep!
