I think we are going to have to put DH's dog down...

She is 16 and has been going really strong til lately. She has been wetting her bed at night and we put her on medicine that was working for a while. She has wet the bed for 3 nights in a row. I don't know how DH is going to take it... He's had this dog since he was 9. Why do they have to pass away?!? Our dogs are a huge part of our life and family. Just needed to vent...

I know it's tough to deal w/ b/c they really do become a family member. Sorry you are dealing w/ this.

I can sympathize with you.  After DH's divorce, his dog was the only thing he had.  Then I came along, we got married and had our DS.  Three months after DS was born, the dog just kind of took a turn for the worse.  We had to put her down...the night before I returned to work.  Talk about an awful, tear-filled day the next day.  My DH took it hard, but it was best for the dog as she obviously wasn't herself.  T & P for your family...
