I loved the lovelace woman's hospital. I had both of my daughters there. They were great and the rooms were nice, they had the jetted tubs for during labor and there was no issue with my SO staying the night after the baby was born.  They even feed him too and the dinner after i gave birth i got filet Mignon and it really was good I had something similar with my first, The give you a nice dinner because it's the last quiet one you'll have for a while the nurse said. (lol) they also allowed my to go (with my first) for 3 days with my induction. It just wasn't working that well and i really didn't want a c-section so though they had started to schedule one for my third day because the baby started to show problems i did finally give birth vaginally and am grateful they allowed my to go that long.

With my Lo now i have pres. so hopefully that hospital is good too, i'll let you know in 5 weeks. good luck

Im pretty new to this site.  (I just found this post.)  I had my daughter at UNM in ABQ in April of 2008 and I loved it there.  There was a HUGE room where L&D were suppose to take place.  Hubby had a nice comfy recliner and there was a huge TV.  I was in that room for 2 days until I had to have an emerengcy c-section.  I had a rough labor and that was the only option as my daughters heart rate kept dropping when I pushed the epi button.  :/  But anyway, I had to be completely sedated and had a c-section w/o hubby with me.  After I woke up we all were in a small room waiting for me to wake up.  Then they moved us to the recovery room and it was HUGE!!!  Hubby had a double size bed to sleep in and the nurses and DRs were fabulous!!!  They checked on us every 2-3 hours and I was in that room for another 2 1/2 days.  They were super helpful with everything.  Pretty good food for hosiptal food and they had a braclet around daughter ankle and my wrist letting them know what child went to with what mommy!  I liked that b/c it made me relax more!  haha!  If you have any more questions just send me a message!!!  Good Luck!

Presbyterian is the BEST for mom's wanting more control of their labor and delivery.  They are very supportive of going natural and suggest at least an hour of mommy baby bonding right after the delivery if they are ok, and breastfeeding right away.  The nurses are awesome and they have tubs in every room, and wireless/waterproof monitors.  I also recommend Women's Specialists for an OB/midwife.
