When did you start buying/ordering clothes if you knew they would have to be altered? I'm barely 5 feet tall, so I know all of my pants will need altered, and I want to make sure I leave myself enough time to have the alterations done.
I lost about 10 lbs pre-pregnancy, so my pants are still fitting fine since they were loose before, but they are getting tight at the end of the day. I have a bella band that I can use to stretch how long I can wear them.
Re: Petite ladies - Question about maternity clothes
I was in maternity pants by 12 -13 weeks. I got them all from either Motherhood.com or JCPennys.com and I ordered them in petite size. They did not need to be altered at all.
P.S.- I'm 5' flat
Motherhood Maternity petite pants with the secret fit full panel have worked out great for me. I'm 5' 2" with shorter legs than torso, so we may have similar dimensions.
No way to guess how long you have until the transition, so I recommend getting at least one pair of pants soon so that you have an in-between solution while you're waiting for alterations (if you need them).
Congratulations, and enjoy your pregnancy!
