Also, what size shoes does LO wear?
I hate shoes; it's the first thing I take off when I get home. So I guess I just really didn't see the point in LO wearing shoes all the time. She has the Trumpette socks that look like Mary Janes so she wears those all the time. We visited my in-laws for Christmas and they bought her 2 pair of shoes and made several comments about me not bringing any shoes for her.
I have a hard time finding shoes to fit her. My MIL gave her 2 cute pairs of Robeez at our baby shower and they were too big every time I tried them off and then one day they were too small so she never wore them. I have several other pair in various sizes but they will not stay on and they are hard to get on. I'm frustrated!
Re: Does your 8 month old wear shoes all the time?
Not unless it is super cold out...which is never the case in arizona. So, no.
ETA she is in a 3-4
L is now wearing a size 3 - she had a crapload of shoes as a newborn and i always put them on her whenever we went out of the house.. she now has a pair of nikes, a black and a brown pair of mary jane dress shoes and im in the process of getting her little fake ugg boots.. and she has a pair of super cute bear slippers from gap.. but yes, she almost always has shoes on when we leave the house
eta: try payless.. i found Ls black maryjanes there and they fit really well! plus, theyre super cheap!
I have only put shoes on DD once outside of Christmas and Thanksgiving. I just don't see the point. I did buy her a cute pair of cheap brown Mary Janes for her stocking but haven't put them on her yet. When I do it will be merely to keep her socks on.
ETA: She's in a 2 or 3.
I've read multiple articles about why babies should not wear shoes. If you do put on shoes, make sure they are soft-soled (like your Robeez), but don't worry about it if you're flip-flopping.
Barefoot is supposed to be best for learning to walk and optimal bone and muscle development. Foot problems can also lead to future hip and other problems, so I'm pretty paranoid about inhibiting growth in any way.

Good to know. I think I'll google it and send a copy to my MIL.
LOL
My SIL bought LO some Ugg Boots for Christmas. They're super cute but way too expensive if you ask me! She also bought her some really cute black and white polka dot shoes from a local boutique. They fell off 3x before we could get out of the house today.
I never put shoes on my girls- they just pull them right off anyway. The only time they wear shoes is to match a really cute outfit and even then they are on for about 20 min max.
