Pregnant after a Loss

Question regarding cramping (possible TMI)

So this might be a little TMI, but for the past few days, whenever I go to "tinkle", I feel a little cramping in my lower stomach.  So much like AF cramps, that I fully prepare myself to see blood when I look down at the tissue, but thankfully haven't seen any yet ((((KNOCKS ON WOOD))))).  Has anybody else felt anything similiar after going to the bathroom?

TIA

Re: Question regarding cramping (possible TMI)

  • You might have a UTI.  I had one around 15 weeks and I had a lot of cramping and pressure.  No actual painful urination though.

  • sounds like you might have a UTI. It could be nothing, but you might wanna call the Dr. if it continues to kinda hurt or burn or cramp for a few more days. Supposedly they are pretty common during pg.

Ok, so this is going to sound like the dumbest question EVER (please feel free to flame), but how do I know if it is a UTI, or just normal newbie pregnancy cramps (since I don't have any urgency to pee or burning when I pee)

  • Have yall had sex lately? You can get them if you don?t go pee right after. It?s possible they might sell like a testing kit at Walgreens or CVS, but I think the only way to really know for sure is to go to the Dr. for a pee test. Any Dr. will do like a GP or whatev, doesn?t have to be the OB.

You have your DR. do a PIAC test to check for protein in your pee. It's the only way to be sure and don't worry about feeling stupid or over worried its worth being tested to be sure and most Dr. would rather you do the test than let a potential infection move up to your kidneys.
