how often do you wash LO's hands?

i wipe down with just water after feeding solids, but with soap/water i mostly just do it in his nightly bath. with it still being flu season i feel like i should be doing the soap/water thing more since his hands are always in his mouth. how often do you?

  • we do the same.  Sometimes I wipe them when I change her diaper.  Not all the time though.

  • I wipe them off when I see there's something on them or if he grabs for a diaper while I'm changing him.  Also, if someone I don't know touches his hands (or if it's someone I know is sick) or if he touches something I think might be germy (public changing table, shopping cart, etc).  Other than that, just when he's in the bath at night.  He's crawling around on the floor all day, so I don't know how clean I can really keep them.

  • I do exactly the same as you. However, if he's been out and touching more than usual, I might wash him with soap and water when we get home.
  • When DD is around her sick cousins I wash them with soap and water probably once or twice a day.  Didn't help this weekend though she got a cold from her cousins.
