Babies: 9 - 12 Months

okay, so DH....

is refusing to have DD's party in someone's home. He thinks that she should have this big shabang, and rent a venue. Which is totally cool, but I am planning 2 parties, DD#1's 8th Birthday is on Valentine's, and then little DD, 2/26. I am not sure if I even wanna commit to all that, because I will be the one left decorating, ect. But I need to know, because I have to have the invites out in a few weeks! Any suggestions? And by the way, he does not want to have a Bday combo.

  • B-day combos are no good. My bro is Jan 3 and I'm Jan 4 and we hated the one combo b-day we had.

What kind of party will DD #1 have? It seems to me like DD #1 would want a slumber party or something fun with friends (at your house), whereas DD #2 would probably have just family or family and a few of your close friends.

Maybe tell him you'll be ok with renting a hall as long as he is ok being in charge of decorating--AND give him a timeline. For example, a theme will be determined by Jan 8 and all items will be purchased by the end of the month. Then everything will be done (for the most part) by the time party #1 rolls around.

  • well I think dd #1 wants to go paint pottery for her birthday, and then I actually just got off the phone with DH and he agreed to have DD #2's pasrty at my parents. So it is working itself out, thank God.
