Something happens when the Christmas decorations get taken down

that makes me want to organize my whole house and redecorate.  I am itching so bad to attack my whole house that I can't stand it.

I should have asked for a money tree for Christmas because that is the only way I am going to get everything I want accomplished.

I can't wait to start taking down Christmas decorations. I can have my familyroom back at least.

I always feel the same way!  I think I should leave my Christmas stuff up for awhile because I have no time to do all the stuff I want to do!

Ha Jodi! Were you spying on us last night?? We took the tree down and shampoo'd the carpet, repainted spots on the walls and moved furniture around.

 

My house is always supah organized after Christmas! I effing love it!

I spent ALL day yesterday reorganizing! I think I'm going to have to work at it all week long. It's partially because we have so many new things- clothes, toys, kitchen stuff, etc- from Christmas that I have to clean out closets, cabinets and the playroom to make room for all the new stuff. Then when putting away Christmas stuff I decided that the basement really needs to be completely reorganized, and I can't do the basement without also doing some work in the garage, and the playroom could really use a comfy place to sit so I'm stalking Craigslist for a clean but inexpensive loveseat. And while I'm doing all this reorganizing I might as well rearrange the furniture, hang some new shelves, and there are some spots on the walls that need touched up...

This happens every single year after the holidays, LOL.

LOL, I cracked up when I saw this and I always think I am the only freak who feels this way!!!. I am disgusted with my house right now. I have my cleaners coming and I should have cancelled so I could at least organize things first. I am pretty OCD when it comes to organizing but I am desperate need of going thru things and just getting things neat and clutter free. The decorations are coming down today for sure.

Mine have been up since the day after Thanksgiving and will remain until New Year's Day.  I will be so sad to take them down, I really love the lights and festive feeling the house has on these bleak winter days.

After that, I'll clean like a mad woman...
