Pregnant after a Loss

Traveling, morning sickness, and motion sickness...

So my family is flying to FL on the 5th.  Im so scared I am going to be sick the entire flight.  I have really bad m/s (actually nausea becuase I havent thrown up yet) and on top of it I get motion sick too.  Does anyone have any pg safe motion sickness/ morning sickness suggestions?

Thanks girls!

Re: Traveling, morning sickness, and motion sickness...

  • I went on a cruise at 8/9 weeks and I was very nervous of being sick the entire time.  My doc told me that Dramamine was fine to take.  I didn't end up taking it, but it was nice to know that it was available if necessary.  Check with your doc, they might have a reccomendation for you - traveling while sick is not fun.

    Enjoy your trip!

  • Zofran or Phenergran... the Phen might be the best actually, since it knocks people out! You can sleep through the traveling part!

  • Have you tried B6?  I found that if I cut a 100mg B6 pill into 3 pieces and took one at breakfast, lunch, and dinner I had almost no m/s.  (Dr said 100mg is safe for pg women)

Not sure if it will help your morning sickness but it's worth a try. Also, if you're interested in trying Sea Bands I'd be happy to send you mine.  They didn't work for me for m/s but lots of my friends swear by them for motion sickness.  Pm me if you're interested.

  • I took Dramamine when I flew to Vegas on a work trip. It was great I slept the whole time and woke up feeling wonderful while everyone else got motion sickness!

  • Beg for Zofran.  I flew from NYC to FLA in week 7 and I don't think I would've survived the trip without those pills.  Just be sure to buy Colace if you take Zofran or you won't be able to have bm during your trip!
