Temp taking question

DD has been running a fever since yesterday and I normally use the ear one and the battery was not working when I just went to take it now so I did the underarm temp do you add 1 or 2 degrees to it?  So it was saying 99.1 so is it 100.1 or 101.1 ???

I think you add a degree.  I never heard of adding 2 degrees for under the arm.

yes, under the arm you are to add a degree. But when you tell your doc what the temp is you should say what it read and tell them where you took it.
