Six week growth spurt?

O has really been ramping up on the eating in the last several days - eating small amounts but often - every 2 hours or so.  Today she is inconsolable.  She pretty much wants very little to do with me, but unfortunately DH is working graveyard tonight so she is stuck with me.  Does this sound like a growth spurt?  I'm just hoping it passes quickly - I have a feeling tonight is going to be a long one!

  • sounds like what we're experiencing. feeding him is becoming a full time job...lol. he eats then "tells us" he's hungry again although he just ate! he likes to snack....that, along with a 8:30pm-11:00pm "witching hour" where nothing seems to calm him - we are very busy....poor buddy)

  • We just got through it.  Maddie was like a wolverine for about 2 days!  Good luck :)
  • Thanks everyone.  She has been sleeping like a rock since about 4am - so I'm hoping we're past the worst of it.  On a side note, DH stayed up when he got home from work and let me sleep until 11:30.  I feel like I could take on the world.  Amazing what a few uninterrupted hours of sleep will do for you!

Kari... Aaron had the same "witching hour" and while he still can get cranky around 8-8:30 pm, it's MUCH better. It used to be hours of crying/fussing. Now it's only for a half hour or so. Plus now he's going to be around 9/9:30 pm so that helps.

Nisems... Aaron also went through this. It passed in about a week. He went through another one at 3 months.
