My DD goes to sleep around 8-8:30, and has begun to wake up around 3 times a night, with the finale around 4-5am where she will not go back to sleep in her crib...period. The problem we're fighting is she falls asleep in our arms, and then wont stay asleep when she's put into her crib. I actually stayed up fighting with her inbetween 4-6am this morning trying to get her back to sleep and finally gave in at 6 and brought her to our bed.
Today, she took a paci and fell asleep in her crib for a nap when I put her down, but only stayed asleep for about 20 minutes.
I know it's a phase...they're all phases...but I am really not doing well with the lack of sleep. What have you all done? Does a lovey in bed with them help? BTW - I tried to let her CIO and I can't handle it, so don't bother posing CIO if that's the answer, please.
Thanks!

Our Twin Baby + a Big Girl Blog
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
My DD was having some SERIOUS sleep issues until about a week ago. She was going down for the night easily but waking every two hours or so. As soon as I went in and picked her up, she'd fall right back to sleep on my shoulder but if I laid her right back down in her crib, she'd start crying so I'd have to rock her for about 20 minutes and THEN lay her down and she'd stay asleep for about two hours and I'd do it all over again. This went on for several weeks. DH and I were going to let her CIO but my SIL suggested using a white noise machine. It's this one https://www.target.com/HoMedics-Sound-SPA-Relaxation-Machine/dp/B0009Y2E42/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&frombrowse=0&node=1038576&keywords=homedics&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&id=HoMedics%20Sound%20SPA%20Relaxation%20Machine&field_availability=-2&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=target104545&searchPage=3&field_keywords=homedics .
Whoa, sorry for the long clicky! Anyway, we started using it on Sunday night and the first night, DD woke up twice but I didn't pick her up, I just patted her tummy and she went right back to sleep both times after like a minute. The second and third nights she woke up once each night and I did the same thing and she went right back to sleep. The rest of the nights, STTN. I'm so happy to have my good little sleeper back!! This machine is nice because 1) it can run all night long and 2) you can plug it in. It's been such a lifesaver! Good luck!!
If there is a club with T-shirts I want in.
We're doing the Sleep Lady Shuffle (Kim West.) ?So far its really working.
We're were in the same boat as you... we spend the first 5 months getting DS to sleep anyway we could (which often meant him and me on the spare bed.) ?He would scream and cry anytime we tried putting him in the crib.
We tried the SleepEasy Solution for about 1 1/2 weeks... and I think (even though it is modified CIO) it was still too extreme (to go from being held all the time to nothing but quick check ins was too much for him.) ?He would cry for an hour, sleep for 30 mins just to wake up and do it all over again. ?
?West recommends moving slowly - it won't be a quick 3 day fix. She says to expect it to take a couple of weeks. ?The first couple of days you sit by the crib using both touch and voice to soothe. ?After 4 days you move further away and just use voice... then 4 days later you move further away... until you are out of the room.
We've been doing it for a week and already DS goes down with out a peep... just rolls over and falls asleep!! ?He's also only waking up once now. ?Before he woke up every two hours to nurse!!?
There were some tears... but nothing compared to when we were doing SleepEasy. ?I can actually see him learning to self soothe too... so it helps me feel better as well.??
Good luck! ?Its so hard finding what works best for your LO! Trust me... you are definitely not alone! ?
