We had a very relaxing day after a quick run to Baby's Sweet Beginnings yesterday since DH left Ethan's taggie blanket at daycare. Thank goodness for Polly and her willingness to run to the store to let me buy a new one. DH bought me a GC for Excuria Spa. I can't wait to use it. I wish I was with my family but it is really nice to stay home all day and do nothing. How was everyone's day? Did you get anything good?
Re: I hope everyone had a good Christmas
We had a wonderful day! Bella really got the hang of opening all of ther presents and loved all her toys....and Joe's too.
Our parents and MIL bought us a WII and we couldn't be happier!
I love being with my family!
We had a very busy day.. but it was SO much fun..
Santa (us) spoiled Eve and MIL spoiled ALL of us.. and my DH did a really good job this year. He didn't get anything super expensive or anything.. but they were just the perfect gifts. 2 mommy willow tree figurines, a gift card to starbucks and a gift card to barnes and Noble.. And an ice cream scoop. I told him I wanted a new one a few weeks ago and he was kind of making fun of me for it..
My mom and MIL both got me yoga pants, so Melanie.. I will be wearing them in public.. are they more acceptable than sweatpants, or on the same level?
ANNNNDDD.. MIL got me a Keurig and a whole slew of pods for it.. I have had two cups of pumpkin spice coffee already.. So excited! And I got a new winter coat and another barnes and noble GC. I think I'm gonna buy a membership for myself.
The one downer was that somewhere between Eve opening her presents and getting home from church, the LCD screen on my camera got smashed... so I need a new camera. We have a "backup" but its pretty old and I don't like it.. Any recommendations? I want something small, but high megapixels and something that does decent in low light cuz my house has THE worst light.
I can't even list all the stuff Eve got.. It would take the whole page! my MIL did buy her an ENTIRE wardrobe of 12 months clothes.. like seriously probably 15-20 outfits.

You crack me up!
Yep! I was SO excited b/c I haven't owned a new computer since 2001. DH is super into gaming so whenever he upgrades I get his scraps, lol. It was my combined "big gift" from MIL and GMIL. I am super in love. I got to order it myself and just couldn't get past the guilt of adding $40 to make it a pink cover so I got the "plain" model.
No, every time I go out in yoga pants, I think of you.. and how you would not approve.. while giggling to myself of course.

glad to hear that everyone had a gret christmas!!
Michael got toys toys toys, though he was more interested in playing with his old ones of course!
the present under our tree from michael was an ornament- one he made! his handprint in plaster- so precious!
i must have been a good girl this year b/c i got everything i wanted! a new camera (that i really wanted) and a kindle (which was a total suprise!). i also got a paninni maker and a pasta maker!
my parents were so surprised with the vacation and my brother loved his Michael magnets!
We had a wonderful Christmas! It sounds like everyone else did too!
My mom takes the cake though.....she never disappoints in making us shake our heads! She had asked what we wanted, so I gave her 3 ideas for each of us.....simple gift cards and a toy for Ryan. She instead gives dh and I gift cards for Cracker Barrel (yuck) and red Lobster, not to sound ungrateful....but we had asked for BRU, BB&B, and/or Sears since she had asked! lol She gave Ryan $40 cash, which was nice of her. It is just so like her to be lazy and grab gift cards from the rack at Wegmans....heck, a weggies gc would have been better! So go ahead, flame me for being a brat!
Other than all that, is was a nice 2 days. We spoiled the heck out of the boy, and now I have to find a place for it all! He enjoyed pulling off the paper and trying to eat it! He did a lot of sitting up and blowing raspberries.....which are both new!
I got a really nice cash bonus from my boss, and I need to figure out what to buy with it! My brother gave us Will Sports Resort, which is waaaay fun!
Mel-You are spoiled! I am so jealous of the coach purse and chi. I am having purse withdrawl since I haven't bought one in a very long time. Dh wanted to buy me a chi but he didn't
my dad got my mom this as her 'something fun' that the had on her list. i'm sure we'll migrate over there today and play with it!
We had a nice holiday-a very busy 24 hours or so as always....we went to Buffalo and went right to my friends house who was in from out of town. Went to my Moms and another friend stopped by-then to my cousin's for our family party. Got up xmas day, had more cousins for brunch, my Uncle stopped over, then gifts with my Mom. Left Blo and stopped at my ILs to say hello and got home around 730 last night. DD was a trooper-she did so well even though she got to bed late both nights-she was just great seeing all of the people, etc. We still have to do gifts with my ILs on New Years Day so our holiday isn't finished yet! DD got lots of "food" items-cups, spoons, plates, etc., lots of clothes and a few small toys. We got her one toy which we haven't even given her yet! Haha!
I got some pjs and shirts, a set of facial creams, a lipstick sampler from sephora, entertainment book, a digital photo frame for the house, slippers. DH got me a mascara sampler from sephora, a GC to starbucks and a necklace like this:

It has DD's name and birthday on it with a little pink stone (her birthstone) next to the date. No dangly things, but maybe I"ll add those in the future. I love it!
We had so much fun. Rosie was great and showed off in front of everyone. She kept growling during dinner, since it's her newest trick and makes everyone laugh.
Rosie got a ton of presents, but her favorite so far is her play kitchen. She has spent hours "cooking" in front of it. She also got a little table and chairs and she's loved eating her snacks there. I got a ton of socks and sweaters which I needed, Uggs, and my fun gift was a macro and fish eye lens for my camera.
We had a fun couple days, but we were definitely busy!
I hosted Christmas Eve dinner for my parents and my one brother and his family. Jay and I spent the day cleaning the house and getting dinner ready (beef stroganoff - yum!). We got home from mass and I did the finishing touches while everyone snacked on the munchies I put out to hold them over. We all had a nice relaxing dinner, the kids enjoyed playing with each other and the cat (although the cat would have liked to have been elsewhere, I think). After everyone left, we got Ian ready for bed, then set out cookies and milk for Santa.
Ian slept until 8am (first time ever!!!), and we had a fun time opening presents. Ian's having a great time with all of his. Jay got me a speaker for my iPod, and gift cards for iTunes and Michaels so that I could be inspired to get some scrapbooking done. We were lazy for the morning, and took our time getting ready since Ian took a 3 hour nap (also a first in a very long while!). Once we were all ready, we went to my parents' for dinner. Lots of good food, crazy kids everywhere, and fun with my family. We came home exhausted, and I couldn't wait to get to bed.
We've had a quiet, lazy Saturday - first time in a long time. Now we're off to get some dinner, since Jay said he didn't want me to cook. Yippee!
