Rash or just baby acne?

My little lady has been developing some sort of rash on her face and on her head too.  She is almost 6 weeks old so I thought we were past the baby acne stage.  It keeps getting worse and I am getting worried.  They are little bumps that are dry and scaley and the skin around them is very red.  And there are a lot of them---not just a couple.  Any ideas?? I asked 0-3 months but noone seems to know anything yet....

Just throwing terms out there but cradle cap?  psoriasis?

That sounds like what N's eczema looked like, but he got it on his body, not his face.  If there's a lot of it, I'd take her in to the pedi to see what they say sometime after Christmas.  It could just be baby acne though.

I agree with Leslie, but FWIW, Colin's baby acne was at it's worst around 6 weeks so I wouldn't rule that out either. Could it just be super dry skin?

Thanks for the help.  She had this same type thing in the hospital when she was under the bili lights and then it went away so it might be dry skin.  I started putting the baby aquaphor on her face last night and today so we will see if that helps to clear it up.  If its still bad on Monday---I am calling the pedi.

hey- I have heard that a little olive oil might help (if its a rash).

I don't think its craddle cap though- from my understanding that is on the scalp.
