Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I thought I could smell a gas leak.

My head and neck have been aching today and I thought I could smell something so I called the gas company.  They were out within 45 minutes.  Nothing. No gas leak, no carbon monoxide leak, nothing.  I think I am just paranoid because about 6 years ago I lived in an apartment that had a gas stove, and I got sick (started out with symptoms like I had today) while I was in the house, but when I would leave I would feel better.  Turns out the stove was leaking CO like crazy.  I yanked that thing out of the house and my landlords installed a new one.  Now that I have kids, I am super paranoid about something happening.

  • I'm a spaz about those kind of things.

I'm glad I am not the only one.  I won't even leave the house with the dryer running.

  • I "smell" gas tons, but DH thinks I am crazy.  Do you have a carbon monoxide detector? because you can't smell that one.

  • I'm paranoid about it too. We had a gas leak with CO at my old house. Do you have a detector?

"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind." - Kurt Vonnegut
  • Yeah we have one.  I'm always afraid those detectors are going to fail though.  :(
  • Make sure you replace them every 5 years :)
