Gf and I agreed not to exchange gifts because I have had a couple of extremely difficult months and a major family change makes this a very sad holiday for me this year. And she is working on Christmas. And we are saving for a wedding.
Now I regret it. I had already bought her a couple little things (a hooded terry robe because she says my house is too cold), but I wish we had presents to exchange and that I had bought a tree.
Whine. Whine. Whine.
The good news about the change is that I will get to visit my kid clients is residential care tomorrow who essentially have no family.
Re: I wish I were a less practical person
You guys can exchange gifts next year, at your first married Christmas.
That's awesome you're going to see your clients. What a wonderful thing to do.
Merry Christmas, BGG. I adore you, and I wish you and GF an amazing holiday and New Year.
DH and I are not exchanging either, part of me wishes I had bought something and another part of me hopes that he bought me something as a surprise. LOL
I am glad we decided against it though, the trip was our gift to each other. I think it's great that you will visit with your kid clients, good for you.
Happy Christmas.
