Cute Christmas Eve tradition: "Magic Reindeer Dust"

Mix oatmeal and glitter (we're using sugar crystal sprinkles in case any birds eat it) in a Ziploc bag and have your child sprinkle it on the lawn on Christmas Eve.  The smell of the oats and the sparkling "glitter" on your lawn will help Santa's reindeer find your house tonight! 

(There are poems you can google if you want to print it up and attach it to the bag...we made up a little one for our neighbor kids and the girls will take it to them this afternoon).

P brought some of this home from Preschool. We will be doing it after nap (since we will be gone till late tonight). I thought it was a cute idea too :-)

Yay!  I posted the recipe and poem the other day.  We made it and DS can't wait to sprinkle the lawn near the chimney this evening!
