Pregnant after a Loss

Blech. This is so HARD.

I'm trapped in Nebraska in a snowstorm/rainstorm/sleetstorm.  I don't feel pregnant and I feel crampy.  And I'm sooooo neurotic.  My morning sickness is gone, I'm tired but not that tired, and on and on and on.

And since I opted not to do betas (which I still think was a good choice), I'm running blind here.  And I'm scared.

Sigh.  Please, can someone PLEASE turn off my brain for awhile?  Please?

Today I am 5w3d pregnant and I love my baby. . .

Re: Blech. This is so HARD.

  • I know you know this, but I'm going to say it to try to help you feel better. 5w is SO early for consistent symptoms. Do you have any books with you to help distract you? They were my saving grace early on.

  • Thanks guys.  I know you're right.  I know it.  It'll be fine.
  • Can you play games on your computer? My DH must have nothing to do at work today because he keeps calling with baby names. Maybe you could look at some baby names to keep you excited about your LO who is doing great

  • I'm trapped in Nebraska too (I live here) and the weather is pretty darn miserable... my H is bringing home a few movies for us.

You need some distractions! Board games, movies, something to take your mind off the worry. I promise you, those first weeks WILL fly by.

  • Yea, at 5 weeks, I felt very few symptoms. No nausea, bbs didn't hurt, appetite was normal. Those really didn't kick in for about another week to 10 days. Feel better!
