"DOUBLE" dreams have got me going crazy

Hello, all.  I came to this board to ask a few questions.  I am nearly 12 weeks pregnant, and all of a sudden I'm being ambushed by dreams of "doubles".  First off a little background: I am a fraternal twin and twins do run in my family.  My oldest sister has a set of twins, and my niece had twin boys (though one died at birth).  I also have twin cousins.  Anyhow, I keep having dreams about things in twos.  Every night my twin sister is with me in my dreams.  My twin nieces pop up from time to time in my dreams.  My husband had two wives in a recent dream.  I had a crazy dream about two pieces of fish.  And in lastnight's dream I was hanging out with two doctors who were both named Maya.  I actually growled this morning when I woke up because it's annoying having these dreams and not knowing.  Did any of you have the crazy dreams?  I also look about 5 months pregnant- and have gained 12 pounds, but my doc said things looked normal.  I have had no ultrasound yet nor has my doc checked for a heartbeat yet.  So, I'm kind of in the dark.

I do not miss those crazy pregnancy dreams!! :-)

Are you going to ask your doctor for an ultrasound?  With your family history anything is possible.  We found out at 12/13 weeks - they did an ultrsound to "rule out" twins b/c I took clomid.

Good luck with your pregnancy and it will be interesting to see if your dreams come true (except for your hubby having 2 wives )

Unfortunately, the dreams etc. are probably just your hormones.

The only way to know for sure is u/s.  Can you push your doc for one, especially since you have a family history of twins?

Thank you for the replies and those are very handsome boys you all have there.  My doctor said she'd be using the doppler to check the heartbeat early next month. But no u/s scheduled yet to see what's going on in there. She is not excited about scheduling u/s unless necessary.  I may have to wait a couple months.

I got a u/s when I was 11w5d and that's when we found out we were having twins.
