Well... Big u/s FAIL

We have a healthy baby. HB at 156 and measuring a couple days ahead. Which I am thrilled to find out since I was having a rough couple a days. It?s always good to see the baby and get some reassurance.

BUT I left and still am disappointed. The machine was one of the most simplest oldschool machines that exist, the doctor told me so herself. She said on any other more modern machine she would have been able to tell the sex, but this one doesn?t give you any clear details. I guess that?s what I get for paying less than $20 for an ultrasound. So now I have to wait to find out til Jan. 7th as originally planned. Bah humbug. You really do get what you pay for, but I thought I was gonna hit the jackpot, this ultrasound was less than half the price of the ones my doctor gives me.

it's a bummer that the u/s couldn't tell you the sex but it's great knowing the little one is doing well!

Not a big fail silly- just a little one- total bummer you couldn't find out the sex but at least you got to see the LO with a nice strong h/b!!

That is a bummer! I had a crapload of lolcats picked out to PIP for you. I am glad to hear that the bean is doing well though. Did you at least get a new picture to show everyone how the bean is progressing on Christmas?

haha that made me laugh. I can?t wait to see those lolcats! I?m gonna try to push my Dr, actually the recepcionista to give me the appt. on the 5th. So it?ll be right after the New Years weekend. I?m funna call her right now. Yeah, I got a few pics, but not normal cute profile ones, she took them of the head and the placenta - which is huge holy crap - and the heartbeat. I did notice the baby has a face now. Like eyes and a nose. A little alien like, but it was cool to see. And it was movin its arms and legs all around.

That is so cute. I could watch baby on the u/s screen for hours. It is just amazing! I hope you can get it on the 5th!

Oh no Katie, that is a letdown for you but I guess knowing everything is looking good is great and you will be able to find out soon. Keep us posted if you can get in earlier.

Well crap. I also spent a good 20 minutes picking out peen/vadge pics for you. Bummer. Guess we'll have to wait until after January. I still predict girl but again I'm wrong 89% of the time.
