multiple Christmases vent

I hate the idea of multiple Christmases at different houses just because people can't get it together and be in the same place at the same time.  Christmas is Christmas and all the other family gtg are holiday parties/family gatherings; NOT Christmas.  Forcing us to travel to different peoples houses for DD to get gifts and passed around by people who we see once/twice a year is not what the season is about.  

Yeah, I'm selfish.  But if I offer to host Christmas day brunch and the day after I shop for the food and two days before Christmas day half of the people change their plans and tell me they are having Christmas on the weekend and some random evening next week I think it's pretty inconsiderate.

I don't think you are being selfish. You offered to host, so it's their loss if they don't see you on Christmas.

That is pretty inconsiderate to just drop your invitation because they want to do Christmas their way. So, will you now have to schlep G all over the place for those events? That would suck.

SO frustrating! We have 4 places to go on Xmas day. Im sure by "party" #3 Justin will be in total and complete exhausted nightmare mode... and so will I, haha.
