Pregnant after a Loss

BH question

So I'm a little concerned I may already be having very mild BH.  How early do they usually start?  Usually when I'm moving around a lot, all of a sudden my belly will get really tight and hard for 30 sec-1min.  I remember them early with DD but def not this early.  I was thinking it was just stretching but the last few times are starting to remind be of BH.  Maybe I should pull out wtewe and start reading it again.

Re: BH question

  • I feel that same thing. I didn't think it was BH I thought it was the baby's head or something putting pressure on the outside. I only get it in one spot..does this sound right? DH and I just felt it last night.

No, mine is all over, the whole ute gets tight.  I can feel when the head is pushing on one side, and can feel that from the outside.

  • Ok that makes sense. Thanks :)

  • I have read somewhere that they can actually start pretty early - like easily by where you are now - esp if you're dehydrated.  I had some cramping the other day (I have no clue what it was - I drank a ton of water and it went away).  I assumed it was because the heat is on here all the time and it's really easy to get dehydrated quickly?
  • I started feeling them very early, around 16 weeks. By 20-21 weeks I was having them a lot, probably a few times a week. By 28 weeks I was definitely having them several times a day.

This.  Plus, I feel like I've heard that you can feel them even earlier with your 2nd child, which would makes sense for you.  But, I don't even know if I've had them yet, so I'm probably not the best judge!

  • Mine started somewhere around 22 or 24 weeks I think. Since this is my 1st baby I was concerned about how early it was. The OB said as long as I was staying hydrated and they went away after changing positions and didn't happen more than 5 times in an hour that I was fine.

  • Thanks ladies!  I think I will try to drink more water, and obviously mention it to my Dr, but I just saw him and it didn't even occur to me till last night that that's what it could be.  And darn it, I can't find my wtewye, I may have hid it after the m/c so I didn't have to see it.  Sad
