How would you calculate weeks?

According to my LMP, I will be 8 weeks on Sunday with a due date of 8/8.  But at my appointment yesterday my EDD was noted as 8/6 based on my charting, which, according to my newly updated ticker, makes me 7w4d today and would put me at 8 weeks on Friday.  Even though that won't have been 8 calendar weeks since the first day of my LMP, should I count that as 8 weeks based on fetal development?  I ordered the awesome PickySticky week stickers for my belly and want to start using them asap but I'm not sure if I should call Friday or Sunday 8 weeks- thoughts?  I'm off to work for the day but look forward to hopefully some responses this evening.   Thanks in advance!

Your chart would be more accurate because the LMP method assumes that every woman ovulates on CD 14 which is not the case.

THis but if you want to cover both bases, do the picture on the later date since you will be 8weeks + by that time!

I was charting when I got pg, too. I thought I should switch over on Friday, the dr said Tuesday. I stuck with Friday and then after a couple of months the dr (based on fetal growth) changed to me switching to a new week on Thursday. So, like PP said, your charting is more accurate. There's a good chance that the doctor will change how far along they think you are.

OK, I just reread your post and realized that you guys are only two days apart. In that case, I might just do Saturday and call it good. Or, do Sunday and know that you were paying attention to your body. In all honesty, it doesn't really matter....just do what you're comfortable with. You're the only one who's going to know that you and doc slightly disagree.

I think either day would be fine. I would choose whichever one you are more likely to be consistent with taking photos on. For me, that would be Sundays

Thanks for the advice, ladies.  Maybe we'll just split the difference and do Saturdays...although I have to say I'm tempted to do it on Xmas in front of the tree at DH's parents with him to make it a bit more special.  Maybe we'll just skip to Saturdays after that or something.
