We have dog food issues as well--or I should say "had" dog food issues.  My dogs were having major diarrhea and all sorts of horrible effects from pedigree, iams, and purina so we ended up switching them to Wellness.  It's got all natural ingredients in it.  Unfortunately, it's SUPER expensive but with Pet Co we signed up for their discount card and after 10 bags, you get a coupon for a bag free--and each bag of dog food has an $8 coupon in it.  This brand also makes dog treats!  My kids love love love the apple and yogurt treats!

And please don't beat yourself up over it...I didn't know iams, pedigree, and purina weren't good food until someone on thenest told me.

I am not FK, but was curious how this program works at PetCo.  I usually buy the Blue Buffalo at PetSmart, but saw an ad that said about getting your tenth bag free.

Do you have to buy the same "flavor" each time to get it?  I know it has to be the same brand/ size.

FK, if Wellness doesn't work, Innova and Evo are also good brands.  They're made by the same company that makes California Natural.

As for finding all this stuff, do you have a Pet Supplies Plus near you?  That's one of two places we've found that has all of these good brands, and they're a lot cheaper than the other place we found.  They've also been FABULOUS about ordering stuff that they don't normally carry (and then carrying it if it sells).
