Update - just a cold and a new HPT (long)

I went to my family doctor today. Just a cold. No fever. I could have told them that. What I wanted to make sure was that I didn't have sinusitis or something that needed treated that was making the cold worse. I've had colds before, and they don't knock me out like this. The doctor said it was okay to take Robitussin-DM and a half dose of Sudafed if I needed it. He was very clear that it had to be the Sudafed that is behind the pharmacy counter, not Sudafed PE which is out with the regular cold meds.

The ob office called. I had called and left a message on Saturday regarding what meds were safe during pregnancy. She basically told me the same thing that the PCP told me. I asked her about how this cold would affect the embryo, and she said that it shouldn't have any effect as long as I don't have a fever (which is what all of you said). She said I could come in for a 3rd beta, which is scheduled for Wed. afternoon. I would have done it on Thursday (my day off) but I want the results back before the holiday.

After waking up this afternoon, I took an HPT....just because I'm a little obsessed and concerned, even if you tell me not to be. I PIAC and did a FRER. The line on the left (the pregnant line) developed SUPER quick, and was by far darker than the control line. I'm at 22 dpo. I compared that to a test that I took a picture of on 12/15 (16 dpo) and it is drastically different. I don't know if you can put any stock in the darkness of the line, but if so, then I feel much better.

I took the day off from work today, but I'm hoping to get back to work tomorrow, and have a somewhat productive 2 day work week. I just hope this cold goes away soon...hopefully before Christmas!
