EWCM vs. semen

My "CM" today... looks like EWCM to me: clear, shiny, stretchy (2.5").  But I'm otherwise dry-feeling.  And we had sex last night (around 10pm).

Granted, my body is probably still adjusting after coming off BCP so who knows what's really going on down there.  And I know I may have patches of EWCM at random times so I might not be about to ovulate anyway.  I O'd on CD23 last cycle, and today is CD10.

So, leftover semen or EWCM?  Thoughts?

positive for ANAs (1:40) with a speckled pattern
MTHFR c677t mutation (heterozygous)
*folic acid, baby asprin, Prometrium, acupuncture, Lovenox*
BFP @ 9dpo 2.1.2012 || HCG = 8 : Progesterone = 19.2
2nd HCG @ 11dpo = 40 || 3rd HCG @ 21dpo = over 5000!

    EWCM stretches, but semen does not.  Semen breaks easily.

    If it doesn't break it's probably EWCM.  Try smelling it.  Also, do some kegels now and check again later today.

    Generally after 12 hours you're safe to call it EWCM.  Just do your best to mark what you think it is, and hopefully you're correct.  GL

    I think it's supposed to sink to the bottom if it is EWCM, right?   I never got around to doing that.

    Anyway, whatever it was is gone now.  Back to "dry" it seems.
