We skipped the comforter and got the matching "stroller blanket" instead. It's thin enough that it looked cute across the back of our glider....but it's really never been used for anything other than decoration.
From what I've heard, crib comforters are never really used. You're not really supposed to use a blanket with babies (I'll be using sleep saks and footed PJ's instead) so there really is no use for a comforter. I'm making a coordinating quilt and using it with the rocker to cover up my legs when I'm nursing/rocking.
I got a set that came with a comforter. If it didn't come with one, I would not have looked into buying one. I keep it on the glider and I use it at night when I am feeding LO since he won't wake up if he is still swaddled but it can get chilly in his room - it keeps us both warm.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.
