I've seen some similar ones; blow-up mattresses w/ side air rails for toddlers. Aerobed makes a twin childs bed but it's rec for ages 8 and up. That option might work if we used it ground level against a wall and pillows on the other side...
DD1 is nearly 3 and too big for a PnP which is what we previously used when we travel. She sleeps in a full bed w/ rail at home but the ILs don't have any extra beds while we stay with them for the holidays. What do you do with your too big for a PnP toddler when traveling?
Re: Anyone have a toddler aerobed?
We got the toddler Aerobed for DD when she was 1 (she refused to sleep in the pack 'n' play and after a horrible vacation with her I decided to try something new).
She loves it and would gladly sleep in it over her regular bed any day.
At this point, she could probably do with a regular one (without the sides). The toddler one fits a regular twin sized sheet, so it's not really tiny or anything, just has sides.
We have the toddler one, and we LOVE it! It's weight limit is 150 lbs, so I can see us using it for quite a long time.
We got ours at Bed Bath and Beyond using one of their 20% off coupons, so it wasn't too bad.
