Hi all..I'm a Newbie :)

Hi Girls,

 Was wondering if I could join the Getting Pregnant community..? :) My husband and I were married this past summer and have been TTC for about four months now...I do not feel we were using the "right" methods although so not sure if I can count this haha...I picked up a copy of "Taking Control of Your Fertility" today at Barnes and Noble bookstore and will start charting soon! I hope this works and good luck to all as well! :)

    Were you having sex regularly? If so, you were using the right method lol. I think I know what you mean, though. You weren't charting your cycle, so you don't know if you were having sex during ovulation.

    Get yourself a thermometer (a lot of ladies use the BBT from Walgreens) and sign up for an account/tutorials at fertilityfriend.com. That way, you'[ll know you were using the 'correct method'.

     Yes, that's exactly it haha I went to my obgyn and told her we would like to try and don't know if we were following the right "procedures" lol...she was like...well are your charting? and I had no idea what that was lol!!

    so...I have bought the books and a thermometer for bbt from cvs (hopefully it is a decent one) and am very excited to get on track! :)

    Ditto Sarah and kudos to you for picking up a copy of TCOYF. I can't believe the things I learned in there that they didn't teach us in health class!! Seriously, it's crazy.

    Penis-in-vagina is the method of choice, but timing it right does make a difference. ;-)

    Welcome to GP! These ladies have taught me sooo much! I just recently picked up TCOYF too. It's kinda scarey that I didn't know half this stuff before! If AF shows, I hope she doesn't, then I will start charting. Like the others said, FF is great as well! Good luck!
