I went for my ultrasound on Tuesday and was told it was 138 (normal from what I understand). Went for a second ultrasound Thursday and it was 100. The u/s tech said that was normal but that seemed really low to me... Baby was active and moving around when she took the measurement so he wasn't resting or anything.
Re: Anyone know what "normal" heartbeats are?
I'd call just to double check with your OB. If they aren't concerned then I'd be ok, but I'd ask them first.
with this pregnancy at 9 weeks my LOs HB was up to 192 bpm and it really freaked me out. My OB said everything was fine, but I was still worried. By my next u/s it was down to 172 which made me feel a lot better.
sorry, must've read over that it was the tech...I know our tech will just randomly say what the hb is (she's told us lower, higher, etc.) but when we get home and use the doppler, it's always in the 160's...I'm sure it's fine, but give them a ring to double check!
This! I had to go to the Dr twice this week and heard the heartbeat both times and both times the Dr's (I saw 2 different people) said a range of 120-180 is normal. 100 seems low. If it were me I'd check just to have the re-assurance of the Dr. While I know tech's do this stuff everyday, I just feel better with the Dr giving the Ok.
I was 171 at 11 weeks and they technician said thats perfectly healthy.
I agree, don't worry unless your doctor is concerend. Just eat right, limit your stress, limit coffee and get lots of exercise.
