i love a good champagne, so this one is hard. if husband and i are alone and he's game for just drinking a sparkling cider, then that will be it. but if we're with company, i may indulge on just a sip of champange
If it's just us, I'll probably have sparkling cider. If we go out or have people over, I might have a sip or two of champagne. Mostly, it would be a waste to open a bottle for DH and myself since neither of us are really drinkers and I *really* won't be pulling my weight this year.

I will probably be asleep. DH is probably working, but if I do find myself out, I will probably have some sprite or whatever non-alcoholic bubbly they have.

We stayed in for NYE last year and DH said it was the best NYE he ever had.
I feel kind of weird about New Years now, because I remember last year New Years Day was Thursday, and I started to m/c on Saturday... I have a hard time even thinking about it.
A small flute of champagne for me!! But I'm getting toward the end. If it was earlier in the pregnancy I'd hold off/be hesitant. As long as I'm just having a small amount I don't see any harm at this point.
lol, yes, like others said, if I'm awake. And I probably won't be since bedtime is like 9:30! So you can probably ignore my answer all together

Nope. I?d rather not risk it at all after all it took to get this far. I LOVE me some champagne, but Sprite and ginger ale have enough bubbles for me! And most likely I will be asleep by midnight.

We've been invited to a New Year's eve party, but honestly, I can't stand new year's eve. There's too much pressure to have a good time, and I really don't like going out on New Year's. I don't want to have to drive. We never seem to be invited to New Year's parties in our neighborhood (they're always across town), and since I won't be drinking (or maybe nursing a single glass of wine all night), it gets progressively more annoying to be around a bunch of people getting drunk when you are the sober one in the bunch. I'd prefer to stay home, maybe have some folks over for dinner.
In terms of toasting, if it's more than just me and DH, I'll get a bottle of Prosecco. Otherwise, I'll toast with water or juice or something. I do like Mrs. Tyson's suggestion of the sparkling lemonade, though.
I turn 30 New Years Day, so I am sure my DH will make me stay up and celebrate, I am kinda over it all. Since my DH was raised Mormon he has no problem drinking sparkling cider- we actually have it in champagne glasses at all of his family dinners. Coming from
a family of drinkers I get a kick out of their "Mormon wine", and always have to pretend it is the real deal!
We'll be at SIL/BIL's house with lots of family. I might indulge in a sip of DH's champagne. But I'll probably be drinking Diet Squirt - it's so good I won't even miss the champagne! Sparking Cider is too sweet for me.
I wish there were true non-alcoholic champagne! I love the dry taste and crisp bubbles, plus it's just so festive. Next year, right?
This year, it will be Dry Soda for me and the little dude. They're a local company founded by a mom who wanted more sophisticated beverage options during her four pregnancies. My favorite flavor is Rhubarb (not pictured below... but look at those gorgeous Juniper berries).
I've also wanted to try Wine Country Soda during this pregnancy, but can't find it locally. Anyone from the Seattle area know where to get it?
We don't drink anyway... we'll probably have sparkling cider/grape juice... or, Target has these REALLY good Archer Farms sparkling fruit juices... yummy! They have great flavors like pomegranate and pear... and they come in a pretty bottle like champagne.
Re: poll: champagne for new years
I will be alseep at midnight... we might have to celebrate East Coast New Years, I am PRETTY sure I can stay up until nine!
ETA: Depending on if DH drinks anything I might get a champagne split and have some of that... otherwise maybe Crystal light in a pretty glass!
This. I have never been a huge New Years person.

Sparkling pink lemonade for us. It's delicious!

No champagne for me... Champagne and I are not friends....
we had a couple of bad bad nights in college...
I won't be drinking any alcohol in general, though, it's still early for me. Perhaps some sparkling cider...
Mmm this stuff is GOOD! If I can find it I will probably do this! If not probably sparkling cider (i actually like the taste of it lol)
I dont like champagne anyways so that doesnt bother me.
