Morning GP-ers!
My DH is asthmatic and has been since infancy. He's taking a salbutamol inhaler and is also on a prescription for Advair. Do any of you ladies know if asthma meds can affect his sperm?
He hasn't gone for a S/A yet, as we're not very far into our TTC journey. He's open to it, but I don't want to jump to that right away...however, I'm curious about the drugs...
Have any of you encountered this?
Thanks!

I dont know about Advair in relation to men's SA. just wanted to give you a heads up.. I am an asthmatic and was prescribed Advair.. back in march i had such a bad reaction to the Advair, that i had to be intubated and placed in a three week medically induced coma.. I also got an infection from just one use.. every since then I always warn people who use Advair because the drs told me there were several reports of severe reactions and infections..
Oh No!! That's terrible! I'm sorry you had to go through that. My DH has been on Advair for probably the past 15 years, with no problems. *knock on wood* He does occasionally get an infection in the back of his throat from it when he increases the frequency he takes it. But I will pass along the info you just gave me, so he's aware.
Thanks!
