QOTD: What are your plans for Christmas/the holidays? Any family traditions?
It?s just going to be myself and DH this year for Christmas, nothing too fancy, open presents that morning then cook a whole bunch of food for us to chow down on! Sounds like a perfect day to me!
As we all learn what "Team" we're on, please include your EDD! Thanks so much!

We are traveling to the West Coast to visit my husband's family this Christmas (we alternate every year). My family celebrates on Christmas Eve and then we usually go to a movie on Christmas night after dinner which we've been doing for years. My husband's family celebrates on Christmas Day so I figure we will spend some time just the two of us and maybe grab dinner or something up Christmas Eve.

We're leaving for Florida early tomorrow morning! I love spending the holidays with our family. My favorite tradition is the late dinner my family has after church on Christmas Eve. We make platters of cheese, crackers, fruits, veggies and a few other finger foods and sit around the table until late in the night. I can't wait!
I really can't wait to see Zachary open his presents this year too. I have a feeling he'll be more into it this year!
my Christmas plans are still up in the air because of my in laws and how selfish they can be.. but that's a long story.
My EDD changed from May 27 to May 20 after my big ultrasound. I am still Team Green
Christmas morning we'll head up to my parents' house and then head to the ILs for presents.
I haven't checked-in in a while... Can you change my due date from the 24th to the 28th?
For the holidays we are traveling from house to house, like we do every year, to visit family. On Christmas Day we will be at 3 different houses. I'm hoping this is the last year of the traveling... I would like our first Christmas was Baby V to be relaxing with no running around!
we have christmas eve at my IL's, both my family and my husbands sister's IL's come over for a late dinner. Then @ midnight santa arrives on the roof(AKA My husband) he gives all the kids one present they really really wanted, and then he wishes everyone a merry christmas and leaves. We all go inside and open the presents under the tree.
Christmas day we go to my parents house to open presents there and for an early dinner and then my SIL's house for a late one.

For Christmas, we're going to go over to DH's aunts house on Christmas Eve and reveal the gender! Wahoo!! Then Christmas morning, we'll hang out with just his parents and sisters, and in the afternoon we'll go hang out at his other aunt's for Christmas with his mom's side of the family.
My family lives along ways away, so this year we'll be going on Jan. 2nd for Christmas with my family (my brother has to do Christmas with his wife's family too so that works out well to do it later). So Jan 2 and 3rd, we'll drive to my parent's house, and celebrate Christmas and my birthday with my family.
We have lots of family traditions and I love them!
Christmas Eve Eve
: BIG ULTRASOUND!!! Then shopping, lunch with DH, and gift wrapping.
Christmas Eve: DH cooks breakfast, then we relax and get ready for the day. We head out to a late lunch (around 2ish) with my family at a great local restaurant. We then all go back to my parents house to get ready for their annual Christmas Eve party. LOVE. Its my favorite day of the year! And my in-laws and DH's entire family come so we can see both families at the same time
Christmas Day: wake up and go gifts at home. Head to my parents house for breakfast and more gifts around 10. Then have an early dinner with my parents (around 4) and head to my in-laws house at night!

QOTD: What are your plans for Christmas/the holidays? Any family traditions?
We are having 2 Christmas celebrations this year. This weekend we will celebrate with my family. We'll have a nice dinner (though we'll miss the traditional prime rib dinner on Christmas) and open presents.
Then on Christmas eve we will go out to dinner with my in-laws to celebrate / recognize my DH's grandparent's anniversary (both have passed but the tradition continues). Christmas morning we will have a pancake breakfast at my in-laws house and open presents with the family.
We are heading to Oklahoma this weekend to spend with my family and then down to San Antonio over the Christmas weekend to spend with DH's family. DH's Mom passed away very suddenly right before Thanksgiving so this will be a very hard holiday for them so we want to be with his side of the family.
On a side note, I found a frame at Kohl's that says I Love NaNa which is what my Mom is called so I got it to give to her from baby! She will love it!! Can't wait to see her open it, she will probably cry!

This year we are going to my in-laws this weekend, my parents for Christmas Eve/day in, and traveling to Dallas to see extended family over New Years.
Christmas traditions are varied in each family. For DH's fam: DH and I prepare a delish meal and open gifts on Christmas Eve, FIL and MIL make waffles Christmas morn and they get Santa gifts, then we usually see a movie Christmas Day.
In my fam: dad prepares Christmas Eve meal and we open gifts. Stockings on Christmas morning followed by breakfast (usually prepared by dad) and then a hike or ice skating depending on the weather.
we are going to my fiance's family's christmas dinner christmas eve night and then staying the night and driving back christmas morning to open our presents for each other and our furbaby at home. then we have christmas with my family in the late afternoon/evening on christmas day! so excited christmas is finally here
hopefully going to see christmas lights @ the falls this weekend if it decides not to get too nasty!
and an update to add: we had our 20 week ultrasound wednesday and we are TEAM BLUE! my intuition was way off! he is measuring at 12 oz. and the doctor says everything is looking good! daddy is super happy to have a little mini-me & hopefully a football player!

Just found out yesterday team Blue! Yay!
We have all our family to get together with. Starts on Sunday actually, and right now we have 5 get togethers total. LOL. Will be busy, and I haven't started any shopping. That starts Saturday.
We juggle going to both of our families on Christmas day so it will be a rush day! I am hoping to just try to enjoy it this year and not try to rush so much! Other than that we usually go to church on Christmas Eve, they have an amazing choir and we went last year so we are starting this as our family tradition!!

Christmas Eve will be spent preparing food for Christmas dinner and relaxing. Around 3 we will meet my cousins for a little Christmas Eve celebration and mass. After mass we will visit more family and have Christmas Eve dinner. Christmas will be very low key for us...no traveling on Christmas day we are very excited since it is usually so crazy (we are starting a new family tradition with LO on the way). Open presents, brunch, watch Christmas movies, and of course the Italian Christmas dinner late afternoon. YUMM!!!
On Dec 27 we will celebrate Christmas with my family and on Dec 28 we will celebrate with DH's.
We are traveling 1,200 miles to be with my family in SC for Xmas. I am so excited!! And a little nervous to be flying with an (almost) 20 month old.

I'm going to my parents house this weekend for our Christmas gathering. Other than that I'm off for the next two weeks. DH & I will stay home for Christmas day. I will be spending time painting the nursery while DH is at work.

PLEASE add me to TEAM BLUE! I am spending Christmas without my hubby in Arizona (Phoeniz Area) visiting my Mom's family. It may be the last year I can go for a while. My parents paid for my plane ticket but it cost way to much for both of us to fly! My parents fly out there today from Detroit I fly out on the 23rd all by myself. I hate being at the airport let alone ALONE! Wish me luck flying.
Christmas this year is with DHs side. We are hosting at our house.
Other than that I think we will work on our house, possibly visit my family out of state...we're kind of playing it by ear. We are off work from 12/23 - 1/4/2010 so we have a nice long break.
No traditions yet. But I have informed both sides of parents (been telling them the last two years) that when we have children we will be starting our own traditions at home and we will have to plan another day for the families. But they are all more than welcome to come to our house.
We go to my in-laws on Christmas Eve to play cards, and then their house again on Christmas day after we do our Christmas together.
Its really nice, they only live 2 acres behind us, so its a quick walk (or drive) there.
We will be driving up to see our family. Three hour drive with a puppy and driving back and forth between families. I'm going to have to plan some breaks in between or I will lose it.

This is the first year we will have family here with us for Christmas... DH's mom, dad, brother and sister are all coming to spend Christmas with us. Just found out that DH will have to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day soo... I'll be spending Christmas with my in-laws with DD and no DH lol... should be interesting...

We get to fly home this year for Christmas after not making it home due to the snow last year. The flight is only an hour but it is well worth saving us from having to drive 5 or more hours depending on the passes. We will spend Christmas Eve with my parents opening presents and going to church. My dad and little sister are playing in the bell choir so that should be fun! On Christmas Day we will be over at DH's parent's house and will open presents eat breakfast and then do stockings. I think that is the order, they do things differently then my family and we haven't been there in two years so I can't remember!

This year Christmas is with my family in Australia - we open all of the presents in the morning, then have a big family lunch (seafood and salads), followed by drinks by the pool at my uncle and aunt's house.
