DUMB question re nb (girl) pants - can anyone check for me?

I was putting together the adorable little outfit I bought for DD's homecoming. It's a little one-piece thing, with a matching sweater etc. Anyway, I noticed that the inseams on the legs (no feet attached) are about 2 inches long. Seems tiny..

 So I went and checked out the two pairs of pants I have for her (just in case I'd somehow bought shorts for a winter baby). Well, everything seems about the same length. Some have more leg (maybe 2.5 inches) and less diaper space, but they're all the same overall length and all really short.

Do yours look short too? it seems impossible that a human could fit into something so small...

O_o eep!  I have NO NB pants....On the one-pc legged outfits I have w/o feet though they range between 2-3.5"  (the longer ones have those snap access for diapers).

The 0-3month pants I have are closer to 3-4" though so the 2" minimum would make sense to me since NB is really for only up to 8lbs typically...
