When I went in for my follie check on sunday, the RE seemed really pleased with the size of one of my follicles....25mm. I think I had another one that was 19-20mm. She gave me a HCG shot and said I two chances with those two larger follicles. My question is this: Do you have a higher chance of getting pregnant with larger follicle size or does it not really matter? I tried google-ing but coudnt really find anything that answered my questions. I also took clomid this cycle if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
Re: A question about follicle size...
It's funny - we were just talking about this earlier this week. One of the girls here mentioned that once a follie gets over 24mm, it is too big and probably won't produce a mature egg. My RE confirmed that yesterday (I had a 28 and a 29). The girls on IF also confirmed as did a bunch of googling I did. So as for your 25mm, it likely won't produce a good egg. Your 19-20mm one should though.
To answer your question in general though, as long as the egg is mature and good quality, it doesn't matter what size the follicle is in terms of whether you have a higher chance of getting pregnant with an egg from it.
Good luck!

We are in the same boat. I had a large follie ( 27 almost 28) got the trigger shot and also took Clomid and Met. As far as your question I have no idea! sorry..

I hadn't either! I was all excited that I had 2 ginormous ones. I was figuring the bigger the better, but nope
