3rd Trimester

Sasquatch feet.

Soo.. it seems.. that earlier and earlier in the day - my feet start to swell!!

First.. none at all.. then only if i stood up too long.. walked around all day.. etc..

Second.. only at night..

Third.. now starting around 3pm!!! I had to take my shoes off at work today =(

Anyone else dealing with Big Foot?

Re: Sasquatch feet.

  • Mine were getting tighter in the last couple weeks. I bought work slippers so I could walk around in them while I'm here. Today was the first day I couldn't get my feet in my shoes.. I felt like they were being strangled!

  • Oh no, my mom is already asking me if I am swelling at all. She is obssessed with me not eating anything salty because I might swell. Anytime I mention feeling not 100%, she asks if I am swelling. I can only imagine what it will be like when my feet swell and she sees them. I will have to hide from her when that happens.

  • Just yesterday I realized it was time to retire all heels, wedges and all other cute shoes when I was laying in bed, with DH, and he starts poking my foot. I ask why and he says they look "squishy." I shot him a mean look and he quickly offered a foot rub so I forgave the "squishy" (aka fat) comment but made a mental note that heels may no longer be my friends at this point in the pregnancy.
  • Hate to be the bearer of bad tidings...but just wait.  I thought the swelling was bad in the beginning of trimester 3....now it's taken over the entire lower half of my body....i don't even recognize my knees anymore!  UGH....and shoes, i think i'm going to have to start going barefoot, b/c i only have 2 pair that still fit!
