Preschool Recs

Anyone have recs for preschools near Southlake?  I figure I better get started researching for next school year.  Thanks.

Re: Preschool Recs

  • White's Chapel UMC has an absolutely amazing preschool program. ?They register in February and you have to wait in line REALLY early if you aren't a member or have another child there. ?We got in line at 3:45am and got one of the last two spots last year. ?There were 7 people in front of us in line. ?One spent the night. ?I'd call and find out when they're doing open registration this year. ?They go from 18 months to 4 years old, plus they offer Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten.

Also, Reading Friends in Colleyville is supposed to be really good. ?I have some friends that are very happy with that school. ?I think there is also a Keller or NRH location.

I've also heard good things about Memorial Baptist in Grapevine and Southlake Presbyterian.?

Carrol ISD also has a pre-k program that is done by a lottery and its apparently TOP NOTCH, but I don't know much else about it. ??

Hope that helps! ?There are some great quality programs to choose from out here.?

  • If you want something FT, check out Primrose. They have a pretty awesome program and even offer private Kindergarten. For PT, I am considering Church at the Cross in Grapevine. The program is called Children's Day Out and is every Tuesday and Thursday. Another Nestie recommended this place to me and I was very impressed when I went for a visit.

I think Church at the Cross might the one I'm thinking of, instead of Memorial Baptist. ?Its right there at 121 and 360 and has a huge cross in front of a little pond.?

Yes, Memorial Baptist and Church at the Cross are the same. I'm not sure why they have 2 names. The website is www.thechurchatthecross.com.
  • My Daughter goes to Church at the Cross and LOVES it!  She went to First Baptist Colleyville before, and I like the program at this school even better.  She also goes to Spanish Schoolhouse in Southlake which is a great program as well.  They start there at age 2.  You can do 2-5 days per week, 9-2 or 9-5,  etc.  She loves them both!

White's Chapel is also great....my friends kids go there.
