Is this what BH contractions feel like?

For the past 3 hours or so I've been cramping like crazy on the left side of my belly.  The pain radiates around to my lower back and mostly eases (though not entirely) when I sit down with my feet up. 

Overall I'd say that I feel like I'm about to get my period any minute.  

Is this what BH contractions feel like, or is this just general "getting towards the end" soreness that I'm going to be dealing with from here on out?

Braxton Hicks are painless so I'd say you're not having them.  I've had cramping too and there is a difference between the two.  I'm not sure exactly what the cramping.
