morgan has an acute concussion...

i havent posted in a while, but thought id share my story. 

daycare called this morning when i was work and said morgan had fallen and passed out for maybe 30 seconds (the girl said it felt like 30 minutes) then was really sleepy and had glossy eyes, then just seemed out of it and still really sleepy.  so of course i called the dr and he said bring her right in.  we live in a VERY rural area so i picked her up at daycare and she was cranky and trying to lay her head down.  one of her fav daycare girls rode with me the 30 minutes into town to see the dr and keep morgan awake on the ride.  there they checked to see if she had any bleeding, but are limited in what they can do at the office.  she suggested we take her to a bigger city (it's about 1.5 hrs away) after they determined she wasn't in any immediate danger.  i took off straight for the big hospital for her for a CT scan from the drs office.   basically we just have to let her sleep it off and give her motrin.  she has a huge black and blue mark on her head above her eye.  And yes, she can sleep it off because the CT scan showed only normal things.  when we got home she started vomiting, but is acting totally normal now. 

just a crazy day.  so scary, but so glad its all over.

btw, she just tripped and smacked her head on the floor (which is like school tile)

OMG!  Poor Morgan.  I am so sorry.  I hope she heals quickly.

holy crap, you must be relieved, exhausted, scared and a million other things. I am glad she's going to be ok.

Very scary.  DS had a cat scan for the same reason not long ago.  I am sorry it took so long to get everything checked, but glad it was ok.

I'm sure that must have been very scary for you to be dealing with while driving and all that. I'm glad the CT checked her out ok.  I hope she heals up fast.

I am so sorry that you had to go through that! Poor Morgan! I'm glad to hear she's acting normal and (probably) feeling better. I'm sure these things are more scary for the mommies then the kids. (((hugs)))
